How to Get from PUJ or SDQ to Dreams Onyx Punta Cana

Dreams Onyx Punta Cana is a family-friendly all-inclusive in the Uvero Alto area — one of the quieter beach zones north of Bávaro. The drive from PUJ is about 45–55 minutes, making it one of the longer airport transfers in the region.

The extra distance is worth knowing about in advance. With luggage, children, and airport fatigue, 50 minutes in a vehicle feels different than 25. A private transfer with space for the whole family and a relaxed driver makes a real difference.

From SDQ, the route is roughly 3 to 3.5 hours, heading east on the highway and then north along the coast toward Uvero Alto.

The Uvero Alto area is less developed than Bávaro — fewer restaurants and shops outside the resort — which is actually a plus for families who want to stay inside and not be pulled by the commercial strip.
