Puntacana Village: The Easy Local Hub Near PUJ

June 2026·3 min read

Puntacana Village is a small commercial area built adjacent to the Puntacana Resort & Club complex, just minutes from the airport. It's not a tourist attraction — it's a functional local hub with restaurants, a supermarket, pharmacies, banks, and a few shops.

For travelers staying in the eastern hotel zone (Cap Cana, Puntacana Resort), it's the closest place to get everyday items: sunscreen you forgot, a SIM card, cash from an ATM, or a meal outside the resort.

From PUJ, the drive is under 10 minutes. From Bávaro Beach hotels, count on 20–30 minutes by car.

The village has a few restaurants with outdoor seating that are worth a stop: Citrus (good for lunch) and La Yola (on the water, more of a dinner experience) are the ones guests mention most.

It's not a destination trip unless you're specifically looking to break out of the resort bubble. But if you need something practical or want a meal that isn't buffet-style, Puntacana Village is the easiest answer.
